A Note From Jenn
On Christmas Eve, we remember the fulfillment of God’s promise through obedience and surrender.
The arrival of Jesus did not come through comfort or convenience, but through trust and alignment with God’s will.
That same pattern appears throughout Scripture, long before the manger.

The Briefing
We often associate God’s requests with Isaac moments. The big sacrifice. The dramatic surrender.
But long before Isaac, Abraham had to let Lot go.
Lot wasn’t sinful or reckless. He was familiar. Comfortable. Attached to Abraham’s past more than his promise.
God didn’t ask for Isaac first.
He asked for separation.
I remember when God asked me to let my own Lot go. I thought He was calling me to abandon habits or surface level patterns. What He was really asking was deeper and quieter.
He was asking me to release everything that kept me tethered to a former version of myself.
There were people who felt safe but kept me small.
Ideologies that sounded wise but diluted truth.
Conversations that offered comfort instead of calling.
They weren’t wrong. They just couldn’t come with me.
On Christmas Eve, we remember that Jesus entered the world because space was made for Him.
Not in palaces. Not in crowded rooms.
But in humility, surrender, and release: the manger.
Not everything God asks you to lay down is an Isaac.
Some things are Lots.
They don’t require an altar.
They require room.
Lot had to go before Isaac could come.
And room had to be made before Christ could arrive.
God does not remove to punish.
He removes to position.

Reflection
What might God be asking you to make room for this season?
What are you holding onto that is quietly crowding your obedience?
Where has familiarity taken the place of faith?
What could arrive in your life if you trusted God with release?
Prayer
Father, as we remember the arrival of Jesus,
show me where my life is too crowded for You to dwell freely.
Give me the courage to release what I have outgrown
and the humility to make room for what You are birthing.
Position my heart for Your presence above all else.
In Jesus’ name, Amen._____________________________________________________
Feeling the Pressure Yet? Here’s our encouragement:
As we come to Christ, we are entrusted with a weight worth carrying. Not as a burden that crushes us, but as a responsibility carried with reverence, discipline, and grace.
Jesus entered the world in humility, yet He carried the full weight of redemption. From the beginning, God showed us that calling and pressure often arrive together, but never without provision.
This weight was never meant to be carried alone.
If you are locking in this season, invite someone to walk with you.
Not to escape the tension, but to steward it well.
Forward this. Share the link. Bring someone into the wait.
Because waiting with God is not passive. It is training.
We carry light.
But we carry it well.
Let’s build this together.
You’re not broken. You’re not too late. You’re being conditioned by the call.
And pressure? That’s just a setup for power.
