Faith Rooted in Community

Your faith walk is not designed for you to walk out alone. It's designed to be enjoyed with people who share the same foundation and values as you. The Wait Room was created with people like you in mind.

This Week’s Form Check Focus

The Risk is the Requirement

Last week, we talked about faith-filled risk. It’s the kind that moves before you know all the steps. The parable of the talents reminded us that God doesn’t multiply what we bury. He multiplies what we move with. Risk isn’t rebellion when it’s led by God. It’s obedience. And when we take what little we have and trust Him with it, we open the door to abundance.

But what happens after the risk? When you step out, and it suddenly feels heavier than you thought? That’s where we’re headed this week.

Jesus the Great High Priest

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[a] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hebrews 4:14-16
The Briefing

Obedience isn’t about reward, it’s about communion with God.

This season has had me questioning everything, not because I don’t believe God, but because I feel the cost of following Him so deeply. God’s been asking me to return to the version of myself that prayed with fire, that moved even when afraid. But this time, the trust runs deeper. The fear is louder. The stakes feel higher. And yet, I’m reminded that even Jesus felt the weight.

Hebrews 4 shows us that Jesus isn’t distant from our struggle. He’s familiar with it. He’s been there. And because of that, we can come boldly, even when we feel broken.

Especially when we feel broken!

Who’s Standing In For You?

Before the cross, there was a garden.
Jesus wept. He asked for a way out. And He brought friends with Him… not to rescue Him, but to pray beside Him.

There’s power in vulnerability. In saying, “This feels like too much,” and still choosing to stay in the presence of God. In not running, but instead asking others to stay awake and agree with you in prayer. That’s not weakness. That’s the deepest kind of faith.

If Jesus needed people in His garden moment, so do we. You were never meant to carry the call alone. So pray bold. Cry if you need to. Invite people in. Because God doesn’t just meet you at the altar! He meets you in the agony too.

There is rest in the company of prayerful friendship.

TODAY’S FORM CHECK

Training Lesson: What does your community look like?

Matthew 18:19 tells us “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” It isn’t about wish lists… it’s about alignment. Jesus is teaching us the power of agreement in the Spirit. When two or more believers come together in faith, aligned with God’s will, something shifts. Heaven responds to unity. This kind of agreement isn’t passive. It’s prayerful, intentional, and rooted in God’s Word. It reminds us that breakthrough often comes not just through personal faith, but corporate faithfulness.

What can sitting in the presence of the Lord with others do for you? How can it change your position or prepare you for what’s next?

Feeling the Weight Yet? Here’s our encouragement:

When we come to Christ we have a burden that should be carried with the utmost elegance and grace. It’s not a burden to be carried alone but rather with a community of responsible believers.

If you’re locking in, bring someone with you!

Forward this. Share the link. Invite them into the tension—into the place where waiting for God becomes training with Him. We carry light, but we carry well. Let’s build this together.

You’re not broken. You’re not too late. You’re being conditioned by the call.

And pressure? That’s just a setup for power.

Off Roading In Joshua Tree

I don’t write from a stage—I write from the trenches.

Sharing my intimacy with God isn’t easy, but I know it’s necessary. I’ve been blessed to experience God’s love and wisdom from such a young age and feel a strong duty to share it with those who want to experience it as deeply as I have.

My hope is that every word pushes you to do the hard thing and fight a little harder each day. I’m a Dominican-born, American-raised woman who loves learning about history, psychology, and the science behind how we’re wired.

You’ll hear me say things like It Builds Character, Remember who you are, and Life is a rollercoaster, enjoy the ride—because that’s how I live.

And if you’re here, I got you my love! You’re not waiting in vain or alone.

You’re conditioning for something greater and I’m right there with you!

Help us grow The Wait Room! Share it with someone.
