Are You Ready for the Harvest?
A personal reflection on obedience, readiness, and the kind of faith it takes to sustain the promises we’ve prayed for.

This Week’s Form Check FocusThe day is closer than you think! There are moments in our walk with God where we can sense that the promise is near not just spoken, but at the door. This week, as I’ve been working in the Dominican Republic, I’ve felt that stirring deep in my spirit. A holy tension between what’s been planted and what’s about to be harvested. And while the temptation is to focus on the what, the breakthrough, the blessing, the open door… God keeps drawing my attention back to the how: How am I preparing? How am I showing up? Because the truth is, a plentiful harvest means nothing if I’m not ready to labor in it with character, faith, and oil in my lamp. | ![]() |
The Workers Are Few
35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

The Briefing
God has spoken to me time and time again about a promise He made over my life. Like Abraham, I moved without hesitation when I heard His voice. And like Abraham, I stumbled along the way. I’ve found myself on detours toward Ishmael when my heart was set on Isaac. Yet through every misstep, every delay, and every moment of doubt, God has kept me. He has redirected me with mercy and walked with me through it all.
Now I stand at the border, the threshold of the very promise He spoke. And I ask myself:
Am I ready to receive it?
Have I fully let go of Lot?
Have I walked with the kind of faith that would cause heaven to call me a friend of God?
The truth of that can only be fully known by Him. But here’s what I do know without a shadow of a doubt: He has my entire heart.
And in this season on this trip to the Dominican Republic, where I’ve seen His faithfulness unfold in front of me, I lay it all down again. Every promise, every prayer, every plan. I place it at the feet of Jesus.
This week’s form check isn’t about striving. It’s about readiness. The harvest is already plentiful, but are we laboring with the kind of faith, character, and integrity that can sustain what we’re asking God for?
TODAY’S FORM CHECK
Training Lesson: If God opened the door tomorrow, would you be able to walk through it with peace, humility, and readiness?
What harvest has God been preparing you for and have you made space for it?
Like the five wise virgins who brought extra oil, have you positioned yourself with enough spiritual margin to sustain the long wait, the weight of the promise, and the unexpected timing of its arrival? Or would you be like the virgins scrambling to find oil when the Bridegroom comes, prepared in desire, but unprepared in discipline?

Feeling the Prepared Yet? Here’s our encouragement:
When we come to Christ we have a burden that should be carried with the utmost elegance and grace. It’s not a burden to be carried alone but rather with a community of responsible believers.
If you’re locking in, bring someone with you!
Forward this. Share the link. Invite them into the tension—into the place where waiting for God becomes training with Him. We don’t carry light, but we carry well. Let’s build this together.
You’re not broken. You’re not too late. You’re being conditioned by the call.
And pressure? That’s just a setup for power.

Los Cacaos
I don’t show up with a mic.
I show up with the mess.
I write from the middle of it all, not the mountaintop. Sharing the sacred parts of my walk with God is never easy, but it’s necessary. He’s been too faithful for me to keep it to myself. From an early age, I’ve felt His pull, His presence, and His push… and now I write so you can feel it too.
My hope is that every word you read here reminds you that you’re not crazy for caring this much, for hoping this long, or for fighting this hard. I’m a Dominicana by birth, American by upbringing, and a student of everything that makes us human! From our history and our patterns to the way God designed us with intention… I study it and love it all.
You’ll catch me saying things like “It builds character,” “Remember who you are,” and “Life is wild…hold on tight.” That’s not branding, that’s how I live. This faith walk is a fight, and I’m lacing up with you.
If you’re here, you’re family. You’re not behind. You’re not forgotten. You’re being formed for the very thing you prayed for. And I’m walking right beside you.
